When using the Windows operating system, you may find yourself needing to activate the software or extend the evaluation period. In such cases, the slmgr /rearm command is a handy tool.
This command extends the Windows trial period and resets the activation state. You can use it up to three times, effectively giving you up to 120 days of evaluation.
How to use:
- Run Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Type
slmgr /rearm
and press Enter. - Reboot your system to reset the evaluation period.
Important Notes:
While the slmgr /rearm command allows you to extend the trial period without activation, it does not provide permanent Windows activation. Prolonged use without activation may violate Windows licensing policies, so make sure to complete activation in due time.
